Bremer Bank Northwestern Wisconsin Region recently received Gold certification as a Family Friendly Workplace from the United Way St. Croix Valley’s Success By 6 initiative. This certification recognizes businesses that actively invest in programs and practices that support employees and their families.

The family-friendly practices Bremer Bank was recognized for include health care coverage, paid time off, and an Employee Assistance Program.

“Receiving the Gold-level certification as a Family Friendly Workplace is an incredible honor,” said Dan Draxler, Bremer’s Northwest Wisconsin Region CEO. “We’ve always focused on the well-being of our employees and clients, as well as the communities we serve, and receiving this honor reinforces that commitment.

“This is an especially positive reflection on our employees,” Draxler continued. “Bremer offers an outstanding benefits program and family friendly work environment, but our caring and committed team members are why working at Bremer is so rewarding. I’m proud of our employees for everything they do every day to help our clients, to support the United Way St. Croix Valley and other local causes, and to make our workplace great.”

Family Friendly Workplace is a program of United Way St. Croix Valley’s Success By 6 initiative, developed specifically for employers in Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties. Businesses can achieve certification by earning points for family-friendly practices. There are three certification levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Certification fees paid by the businesses support educational programs and service delivery for early childhood development.

“Policies that promote work-life balance increase employee productivity and loyalty as well as having a positive impact on families,” said Success By 6 Engagement Specialist Lara Otsuka. “With certification fees supporting early childhood programs that in turn help to develop a solid future workforce, we really see this as a win for businesses, families and the community. We commend businesses like Bremer Bank that are taking the lead in championing families and early childhood programs.”
